George was born in Osnabruck Township, Stormont County, Ontario, Canada in 1857.  He died 1942 in Gallingertown, Ontario, Canada.  Harriet Amelia Cheley (1867-1889) was his first of three wives.  George had two children with Harriet, Bertha Ann and Johnson Alexander.  Harriet died in January 1889, he married Carmetta McEwen in that June of 1889 who died in 1897, they had no children.  George then married Isabell Sargeant (1868-1965) and had two more children. 

George was the son of Alexander McNairn and Hester Mattice.
